Fire Protection Engineer responsible for designing detection, suppression, and alarm systems for AI data center modular units and plants. Owns hydraulic calculations, layouts, standardized fabrication designs, permitting, and commissioning for mission-critical facilities.

Role Scope
- Engineer fire protection in the reference design: detection, suppression, and alarm systems for modular units and BTM plants.
- Run the calcs and layouts: hydraulics, coverage, and device placement owned end to end.
- Develop the details that repeat: standardized designs fabricated into modules instead of field-built.
- Support permitting and commissioning: AHJ questions answered, acceptance tests passed.
Requirements
- Designed fire protection systems for industrial or mission-critical facilities.
- Run your own hydraulic calcs and stand behind them.
- Taken designs through plan review and acceptance testing.
- Know NFPA 13 and 72 well and look up the rest fast.
- Design for fabrication, not just for the code minimum.
Nice-to-Haves
- Clean agent and water mist systems.
- BESS protection (NFPA 855).
- AutoSPRINK or HydraCAD.
- NICET or PE track.
