Internal Communications Manager, Tech
The role advises Core Tech leaders and builds internal communications strategies that make complex engineering, infrastructure, and security work clear and meaningful to employees. It requires 8–12 years of communications or adjacent experience, exceptional writing, executive counsel, and comfort working with technical teams.

Responsibilities
- Own the internal communications strategy for a Core Tech portfolio and become a trusted member of its leadership team.
- Advise executives on messaging and timing, draft communications in their voice, and provide candid counsel.
- Translate deeply technical work into credible narratives for employees across functions.
- Develop creative ways to connect employees with technical work, including demos and new communication formats.
- Anticipate communications needs around launches, incidents, organizational change, and external attention.
- Design strategies that increase signal, reduce noise, and clarify what matters to employees.
- Plan and execute internal forums such as all-hands meetings and AMAs.
- Exercise sound judgment with sensitive material, particularly security-related information.
- Partner with the internal communications team to cascade accurate, consistent updates across channels and live forums.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in communications or an adjacent field such as journalism, speechwriting, chief of staff work, or strategy and operations.
- Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to distill technical decisions and cross-functional projects into compelling narratives.
- Ability to write convincingly in another person’s voice.
- Experience advising senior leaders and building trusted relationships.
- Ability to work credibly with engineers and security practitioners and understand technical systems.
- Strategic perspective with the ability to connect team updates to company strategy and mission.
- Strong understanding of organizational culture and authentic employee engagement opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- Experience communicating about security, infrastructure, or other deeply technical domains.
- Experience at AI companies, frontier technology companies, or organizations with rapidly evolving technical work.
- Experience building or operating internal communications programs during rapid organizational growth.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $295,000–$345,000 USD.
- Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.
- Visa sponsorship may be available depending on the role and candidate.
