Finance Systems Engineer, Finance and Strategy
Build and operate FP&A systems, integrations, data models, and forecasting infrastructure across Pigment and enterprise finance platforms. The role requires 8+ years of FP&A systems experience, advanced SQL and data engineering skills, and strong knowledge of financial planning and reporting.

Responsibilities
Systems Administration and Support
- Serve as a primary system administrator for the financial planning platform, Pigment, maintaining system health and performance.
- Manage finance applications, data, user access, security, system configurations, version management, controls, and governance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end users.
System Development and Enhancement
- Design, build, and maintain applications, financial models, and workflows using in-house tools and EPM platforms such as Pigment.
- Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain secure REST API integrations connecting FP&A platforms and data warehouses with enterprise systems such as Workday Financials and Salesforce CRM.
- Develop SQL-based data models, ETL pipelines, and reporting infrastructure for financial close, forecasting, and business intelligence.
Business Partnership and Process Improvement
- Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and other Finance teams to understand business problems and build technical and AI-enabled solutions.
- Support monthly forecasting, annual and long-range planning, workforce planning, OPEX forecasting, balance sheet forecasting, and cash flow forecasting.
- Identify and implement finance platform and process improvements.
- Participate in testing and validation of system changes.
- Assist with training and onboarding system users.
Data Management and Quality
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems.
- Develop and maintain data validation rules and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
- Support data migration and transformation activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with FP&A systems, EPM platforms, and finance data warehouses, focused on financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience administering and developing solutions in enterprise planning platforms such as Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, or similar EPM tools.
- Strong engineering and technical skills, including advanced SQL, data modeling, system integrations, and data pipelines.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs.
- Strong understanding of FP&A processes, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
Nice-to-Haves
- Techno-functional background, such as CFA expertise combined with hands-on development experience.
- Experience owning changes in a shared production codebase alongside a product engineering team.
- Warehouse and analytics engineering experience with dbt, BigQuery, or comparable technologies.
- Experience building finance applications with large language models.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python or JavaScript.
- FP&A or CFA experience at pre-IPO companies and in rapidly scaling financial systems.
- Understanding of financial data security and compliance requirements.
- Certification in planning platforms such as Pigment or Anaplan Model Builder.
- Project management experience leading system implementation workstreams.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $205,000–$270,000 USD
- Hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time.
