  • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Conduct time studies using MODAPTS, MOST, PMTS, or traditional stopwatch methods to establish labor standards and identify productivity opportunities.
  • Perform capacity studies, line balancing, and production modeling to identify bottlenecks and ensure manufacturing readiness.
  • Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), cycle times, and production metrics to improve throughput and equipment utilization.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing process improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve ergonomics, enhance quality, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and Test Engineering on product introductions and engineering changes.
  • Manage manufacturing improvement projects from concept through implementation.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, implement corrective actions, and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Develop business cases for capital equipment, automation, tooling, and process improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes across the product lifecycle, from NPI through high-volume production.
  • Hands-on experience with time studies using MOST, MODAPTS, PMTS, or industrial engineering methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of standard work, labor balancing, work measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with capacity analysis, production planning, line balancing, and OEE analysis.
  • Project management experience leading cross-functional manufacturing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, value stream mapping, waste elimination, visual management, root cause analysis, and Kaizen.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar software.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with SQL, Power BI, Python, or other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to develop and interpret manufacturing layouts, process flows, and facility models using CAD or similar software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Willingness to support production operations and occasional off-shift activities.

Benefits and Compensation

  • Annual base salary range: $145,000–$219,000.
  • Equity in the form of stock options.
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans.
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.
  • 401(k) savings plan.
  • Relocation assistance may be available for eligible roles.
  • FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days is strongly encouraged and required for certain positions.
