Responsibilities
Own the operating cadence of the executive team, including leadership meetings, offsites, and board preparation; driving clear agendas, decisions, and follow-through
Build and refine systems and processes that improve decision-making speed, organizational clarity, and execution across the office of the CEO
Act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO, and often the cofounders and executive leadership team, on both strategic priorities and day-to-day operations
Facilitate effective internal communication, ensuring company priorities are clearly understood and progress is consistently visible
Lead cross-functional projects from concept through execution, particularly those that do not fit neatly within existing team structures
Implement AI-enabled tools and workflows to increase productivity, streamline operations, and unlock leverage across teams; be an AI champion
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks early, then proactively drive solutions with hustle and humility
Become known at Sage HQ - get to know people, the teams, how things get done at Sage, all to help provide context and insight to Raj and the executive leadership team
Minimum Qualifications
7-10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or high-growth startup environments
Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, delivering measurable outcomes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguity into structured plans and drive decisions
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience supporting and influencing senior executives
Demonstrated track record of operating with high ownership, sound judgment, attention to detail, and leveraging AI tools to improve workflows and decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with a CEO or senior executive in a Chief of Staff, strategy, or business operations role
Background in healthcare, healthtech (software, IoT or hardware), or other mission-driven environments
Bachelor’s degree and an Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH, Organizational Design, CPA) or equivalent combination of experience and demonstrated impact
Track record of helping an organization scale through periods of growth, fundraising, or increasing operational complexity
Strong business intuition with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution in fast-paced environments
