About the role
Key Responsibilities
Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and detailed balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting documentation
Manage the end-to-end accounts payable, expense reporting and credit card processes within Ramp ensuring policy compliance, timely processing and account coding
Maintain and improve audit-ready workpapers and supporting schedules, building on the foundation established in our first audit
Proactively identify inefficiencies in accounting workflows and own the implementation of improvements
Bring curiosity and initiative to AI and automation — evaluate tools, run experiments, build AI workflows to automate manual/repeatable work, and implement solutions that make the team faster without sacrificing accuracy
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, HR, and other teams to ensure accurate financial data
Support special projects such as GAAP conversion, new entity consolidation and automation initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with previous public accounting experience (Big 4 & CPA preferred)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close and audit processes
Experience with spend management platforms — ideally Ramp — and comfortable owning AP and expense operations, not just accounting for them
Curious about AI and automation with a track record of finding and implementing workflow improvements
Nice-to-Haves
Experience working with modern accounting systems and tools (e.g., Campfire, Ramp, Brex, ADP, Carta, QuickBooks, NetSuite)
