About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and detailed balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting documentation
  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable, expense reporting and credit card processes within Ramp ensuring policy compliance, timely processing and account coding
  • Maintain and improve audit-ready workpapers and supporting schedules, building on the foundation established in our first audit
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in accounting workflows and own the implementation of improvements
  • Bring curiosity and initiative to AI and automation — evaluate tools, run experiments, build AI workflows to automate manual/repeatable work, and implement solutions that make the team faster without sacrificing accuracy
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, HR, and other teams to ensure accurate financial data
  • Support special projects such as GAAP conversion, new entity consolidation and automation initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with previous public accounting experience (Big 4 & CPA preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close and audit processes
  • Experience with spend management platforms — ideally Ramp — and comfortable owning AP and expense operations, not just accounting for them
  • Curious about AI and automation with a track record of finding and implementing workflow improvements

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience working with modern accounting systems and tools (e.g., Campfire, Ramp, Brex, ADP, Carta, QuickBooks, NetSuite)
  • Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or telehealth
