Senior Solution Engineer

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executive and technical audiences.
• Partner with sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs and navigate complex sales cycles.
• Demonstrate Snowflake’s value throughout the sales cycle, from demos through proofs of concept, design, and implementation.
• Support enterprise proof-of-concept engagements and help close large deals.
• Conduct deep discovery of customer architecture and connect business problems to Snowflake data architecture.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and messaging.

Requirements

• 7–8 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in a pre-sales environment.
• Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including whiteboarding, presentations, and demonstrations.
• Broad experience with large-scale databases or data warehouses, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
• Ability to connect customer business problems with technical solutions.
• Ability to investigate customer architecture frameworks and align them with data architecture.
• Curiosity about AI and the ability to act as a technical thought partner for customers.
• Experience leveraging AI code-generation tools to improve productivity.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Master’s degree in data science or business administration.
• Experience working with global systems integrators such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture.

Compensation and Benefits

• Total on-target earnings: $220,000–$288,000.
