Senior Solutions Engineer, Observe
The Senior Solutions Engineer will serve as the primary technical resource for Sales, leading discovery, demonstrations, proof-of-concept evaluations, and technical deal closure for Observe’s observability platform. The role requires 5+ years in sales engineering or solutions architecture, strong observability expertise, and cloud-native experience.

Responsibilities
- Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospects to understand their environments, challenges, and observability requirements.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Design, scope, and manage technical evaluations and proof-of-concept projects.
- Document proof-of-concept findings and present persuasive results to customers.
- Partner with Account Executives on technical sales strategies throughout the sales cycle.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert from initial contact through contract closure.
- Provide customer and competitive feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
- Develop and maintain technical sales collateral, demo environments, presentations, and best-practice guides.
- Deliver technical training to the broader Sales organization.
- Travel to client sites and industry events as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in the software industry.
- Deep technical understanding and practical experience with observability concepts, including metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience selling to Developer, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) personas.
- Experience at a fast-paced, high-growth observability or Application Performance Monitoring (APM) company.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $165000–$216562.
