Director of Product, Global Tax Platform
Leads the vision and execution of Rippling’s global tax platform, spanning calculation, filings, payments, reconciliation, data quality, and explainability. The role requires 12+ years of product management experience, senior-team leadership, and expertise with complex regulated or financial platforms.

Responsibilities
- Own the vision and execution for the Global Tax Platform across calculation, filing, payments, and reconciliation globally.
- Lead Senior Product Leads across calculation, filings, payments, data quality, and enterprise tax.
- Drive improvements in filing accuracy, on-time payment rates, weekly data accuracy, customer self-service, and enterprise escalations.
- Make the call on Tax Foundry while maintaining a credible third-party backup plan.
- Build configurable workflows that reduce reliance on Tax Operations and Customer Experience.
- Partner with Engineering, Tax Operations, Customer Experience, Payroll, Compliance, Legal, and GTM to align expansion with platform architecture.
- Operate as a senior product leader in Bangalore, working closely with leadership in San Francisco.
Requirements
- 12+ years of Product Management experience.
- Proven experience leading senior individual-contributor product managers across multiple teams.
- Experience owning complex, multi-surface platforms with regulatory, tax, or financial complexity.
- Strong systems-thinking and ability to identify platform primitives.
- Track record of shipping both 0-to-1 launches and scaled products used by large customer bases.
- Ability to operate across strategy, architecture, user experience, and execution rigor.
- Strong cross-functional leadership across engineering, tax or compliance, operations, and GTM.
- High ownership mindset and accountability for outcomes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in a highly cross-functional, globally distributed role.
Nice to Have
- Payroll, tax, accounting, or fintech experience.
- Alignment with leadership principles including Go and See and Are Right, a Lot.
