Senior Software Engineer
Build and maintain production software for a growth data platform, including AI-powered clinical agents, agentic workflows, observability, and retrieval systems. The role requires strong Node.js and TypeScript experience, production delivery skills, and hands-on LLM application development.

Responsibilities
- Deliver large projects that introduce new product capabilities and maintain key code repositories.
- Break down complex problems into manageable tasks, ensure predictable delivery, and resolve incident root causes.
- Collaborate on technical roadmaps and execute strategies while balancing short- and long-term trade-offs.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
- Design and build AI-powered clinical agents using LangGraph.js and stateful multi-node StateGraphs within a NestJS service.
- Integrate LangSmith for AI observability, prompt versioning through LangSmith Hub, per-node tracing, evaluation pipelines, golden datasets, and CI-gated regression checks.
- Develop agentic workflows using Claude Sonnet through AWS Bedrock.
- Contribute to the Member-Centric Knowledge Graph and RAG-based retrieval systems.
- Improve feature maintainability, availability, performance, architecture, and developer tooling.
- Communicate technical ideas clearly and document solutions.
- Implement feature-flag-gated deployments for growth infrastructure changes.
- Write ML model prediction outputs into a customer data platform through Segment custom events for campaign activation in Iterable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–4+ years of non-internship, full-time professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience delivering large software projects or production features.
- 1+ year of hands-on experience building LLM applications, including prompt engineering, model integration, and AI output evaluation.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or similar orchestration libraries.
- Familiarity with LangSmith or equivalent AI observability and evaluation platforms.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of non-internship, full-time professional software development experience.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with AI technologies for software design and coding assistance.
- Experience mentoring or onboarding junior engineers.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or scalable architectures.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, including PHI/PII handling, guardrails, and output validation in healthcare or regulated environments.
