Responsibilities
- Win new business and drive revenue across EMEA mission-driven organisations, including nonprofits, foundations, INGOs, educational institutions, and social enterprises.
- Build and lead a regional sales team, establishing team structure, hiring priorities, and scalable operating processes while personally closing complex deals.
- Design and execute sales strategies tailored to nonprofit budget cycles, grant timelines, foundation giving patterns, and varying regulatory environments.
- Navigate stakeholder ecosystems involving executive teams, trustees, programme officers, university leadership, executive directors, procurement committees, and IT departments.
- Develop relationships with nonprofit networks, education networks, foundations, and implementation partners.
- Gather customer feedback to inform product roadmaps, including regional requirements for data sovereignty, language support, and compliance.
- Refine sales methodologies, playbooks, templates, and best practices for regional contexts.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and UK GDPR and address concerns about data sovereignty, AI ethics, and responsible deployment.
- Collaborate with global teams across time zones and help shape team processes and culture.
- Travel within EMEA up to 30% and to San Francisco quarterly.
Requirements
- 8+ years of B2B sales experience in nonprofit technology, EdTech, social impact sectors, EMEA SaaS, or emerging technologies.
- Proven success managing complex sales cycles and securing strategic deals with nonprofits, INGOs, foundations, or educational institutions.
- Experience building and scaling sales teams, including recruiting, developing, and retaining talent across time zones and cultures.
- Deep understanding of nonprofit or education operations, including INGO structures, foundation giving, UK charity dynamics, or higher-education procurement.
- Ability to navigate diverse stakeholder ecosystems and build consensus.
- Proven success exceeding revenue targets while managing evolving pipelines autonomously.
- Strong understanding of GDPR and UK data protection.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt across cultural contexts.
- Fluency in English.
- Passion for social impact and mission-driven technology.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Nice-to-haves
- French proficiency; additional European languages.
- Active involvement in EMEA nonprofit or education communities through board service, advisory roles, or sector leadership.
- Existing relationships with major INGOs, foundations, or educational institutions.
- Familiarity with nonprofit data privacy requirements, AI ethics frameworks, and responsible technology deployment.
- Strategic partnerships experience with foundations or philanthropic advisors.
- Experience presenting at nonprofit or education conferences.
- Knowledge of education technology, digital health, financial inclusion, or economic mobility programs.
Compensation
- Annual on-target earnings compensation: £280,000–£330,000 GBP, including base salary and target sales commissions/bonuses.
- Hybrid policy: staff are generally expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time.
