Responsibilities
- Win new business and drive revenue within the retail sector, owning the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting through close.
- Design and execute sales strategies tailored to retail procurement cycles and budgeting processes.
- Analyze retail market landscapes, trends, and dynamics to translate plans into targeted sales activities and campaigns.
- Identify new use cases across merchandising, e-commerce, and store operations.
- Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems, including executives, administrators, IT departments, and procurement offices, to build consensus.
- Gather customer feedback to inform product roadmaps, features, and the retail value proposition.
- Refine sales methodology through playbooks, templates, best practices, and process improvements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of B2B sales experience in SaaS, API solutions, or emerging technologies.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles within retail organizations and securing strategic deals.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and retail use cases.
- Experience navigating retail organizational structures and procurement processes.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements within retail procurement frameworks and policies.
- Track record of exceeding revenue targets while managing an evolving pipeline and sales process.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for audiences ranging from merchandisers and category managers to senior executives.
- Deep understanding of retail buying cycles, decision-making processes, and key pain points.
- Strategic and analytical approach combined with creative, tactical execution.
- Passion for or experience with advanced AI systems and their applications, including safe and ethical deployment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- On-target earnings range: £280,000–£330,000 GBP annually, including base salary and target sales commissions or bonuses.
