About the role
Key Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle for complex enterprise deals from first conversation through signed production agreement, including discovery, solution positioning, business-case development, technical validation, security and procurement, commercial negotiation, and executive alignment.
Understand customer’s call center operations, technology stack, use cases, and success criteria; translate into deployment roadmap and vision for transformation with Retell.
Design and structure tightly scoped pilots with clear stakeholders, timelines, metrics, production requirements, and commercial next steps; maintain urgency to drive conversion to production.
Use MEDDPICC for rigorous deal qualification, identifying economic buyer, decision process, criteria, champion, competition, procurement, and quantified pain; maintain accurate forecasts and address risks.
Build and quantify business cases connecting Retell’s capabilities to outcomes like automation rate, resolution rate, cost reduction, customer experience, revenue impact, and deployment speed.
Navigate complex buying committees by building relationships across executives, contact center leaders, IT, security, procurement, legal, product, and technical teams; multithread accounts for alignment.
Partner with solutions engineering, FDE, product, and engineering teams to demonstrate platform, validate integrations, resolve blockers, and design scalable solutions.
Drive successful production implementation and expansion across use cases, teams, units, and geographies by partnering with deployment and customer success teams.
Represent customer voice internally by communicating objections, competitive intelligence, product gaps, and enterprise requirements to product and leadership teams.
Requirements
5+ years of enterprise sales experience at a high-growth SaaS or AI company, with a track record of closing large, complex enterprise deals.
Experience selling technical products to enterprises, ideally in contact centers, CCaaS, CRM, communications infrastructure, or AI.
Proven ability to manage long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving business leaders, IT, security, legal, procurement, and executives.
Strong track record designing successful pilots, building quantified business cases, and converting technical evaluations into large-scale production deployments.
Skilled in MEDDPICC, multithreading, commercial negotiation, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting.
Strong executive presence with technical fluency to build credibility with both business and engineering stakeholders.
Highly organized, proactive, and accountable; able to create urgency and drive complex deals with limited structure.
Nice-to-Haves
5–10 years of enterprise SaaS or AI sales experience consistently closing complex six- and seven-figure deals.
Personally owned the entire enterprise sales cycle from outbound and discovery through pilots, procurement, negotiation, executive alignment, and signed production agreements.
Ability to speak confidently with CTOs on APIs, integrations, security, and AI architecture, and with VPs/COOs on ROI, automation rates, and business impact.
Deep knowledge of MEDDPICC to qualify opportunities, build alignment, forecast, and manage risk.
Thrive in early-stage, high-growth environments without a playbook; create pipeline, build relationships, drive urgency, and move opportunities to production.
