Business Operations Associate

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform ad hoc market analyses and fill operational gaps.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and operational metrics for workflows, market launches, revenue-generating initiatives, and other activities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Public Policy, and Finance as needed.
  • Communicate plans and outcomes to internal stakeholders through written communications and presentations.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve business performance and decision-making.
  • Prepare biweekly operational-performance reports for key business lines, including marketplace and banking.
  • Analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Improve operational processes and systems, including CRM and data hygiene and reporting infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of experience working at startups, preferably in fintech or B2B platforms.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Salesforce, and Claude.ai, with the ability to analyze data and generate insights.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and creating structure amid chaos.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bias toward action and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience or exposure to marketplace and banking offerings.
  • Knowledge of or interest in the cannabis industry and related policy.

  • Base salary: $65,000–$85,000 USD.
