Responsibilities
- Own and evolve our developer platform — CI/CD (including safe, progressive delivery), infrastructure-as-code, and the build system across a large multi-service codebase.
- Build the application-platform primitives — frameworks, abstractions, and paved paths — that let product engineers ship quickly and with high quality.
- Build tooling that lets engineers and AI agents develop against production-like environments quickly and safely: sandboxes, preview environments, and fast feedback loops.
- Improve developer-facing observability and on-call health: better signal, fewer pages, faster diagnosis.
- Push forward our investment in AI-assisted, agent-driven development — the primitives that make it effective and safe.
- Partner with security to make our infrastructure and workflows safe by default.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including owning a developer or application platform (or core infrastructure) at meaningful scale.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar), containers, and CI/CD.
- You've built platforms other engineers rely on, and you care about their reliability and day-to-day experience.
- You take open-ended, ambiguous problems, define them yourself, and drive multi-quarter initiatives to completion with minimal oversight.
- Excited about AI-assisted and agent-driven development, and want to help define what it looks like in a real engineering organization.
