Staff Engineer building novel Zero Trust Segmentation for containers and Kubernetes platforms. Design/own scalable distributed systems, mentor juniors, and collaborate with customers/field teams. Requires 8+ years experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, and languages like Go/Python/Java.

Your Impact
- Build a new, unprecedented way to orchestrate Zero Trust Segmentation down to the application / pod level, identifying easily blocking pathways of attacks in the container ecosystem.
- Understand and enhance modern container platforms such as Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, GKE etc.
- Own and design critical features and subsystems, work out all the details, and defend the design before your peers.
- Deliver a rock-solid implementation that is elegant, simple, scalable, stable, secure, and supportable.
- Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns to help them grow as engineers and become productive members of the team.
- Work with the field organization and key customers to shape this novel product.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree.
- 8+ years building distributed & scalable software systems.
- Proficient in at least one higher-level language such as Go, Python, Java, etc.
- Experience building large, distributed, and scalable software systems.
- Familiarity with, and passion for Kubernetes and related technologies.
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, networking concepts, and debugging skills.
- General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
- Unix/Linux programming environment experience.
Nice-to-Haves
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with networking and security controls.
- Experience building large, distributed, and scalable software systems (repeated for emphasis).
