End-to-End Initiative Lifecycle Ownership
Own the full lifecycle of high-visibility benefits, wellness, and compliance initiatives, from concept and framework chartering through multi-state implementation and employee adoption.
Partner with the Chief of Staff to prioritize the compliance and benefits backlog and focus resources on high-priority regulatory and infrastructure needs.
Re-scope program goals, wellness rollouts, and plan timelines as business priorities or federal and state regulations evolve.
Guide the development of new infrastructure and apply existing principles to navigate complex structural goals.
Benefits, Leave, and Compliance Operations
Treat benefits enrollment, wellness programs, and lifestyle perks as employee-facing product launches.
Administer US health benefits and 401(k) plans, including vendor relationships, platform management, and system updates.
Design, oversee, and optimize regional and global employee leave programs.
Build, launch, and manage employee perk programs such as remote-work stipends and lifestyle perks.
Lead company-wide well-being initiatives, including mental health weeks and wellness programs.
Research, process, and track state-by-state hiring approvals and regional compliance requirements in partnership with Accounting, Finance, and Legal.
Maintain the source of truth for benefit records, compliance logs, and 401(k) updates.
Governance, Communication, and Adoption
Establish documentation standards and project rituals for compliance and leave tracking with minimal process overhead.
Evaluate complex compliance and operational issues and adapt programs as the company expands into new states.
Translate technical compliance, legal, and benefits information into concise communications for executives and employees.
Identify adoption roadblocks and design mitigation strategies that improve the employee and manager experience.
Create leader toolkits, compliance FAQs, benefits summaries, and feedback loops.
Use plan utilization data, employee feedback, and sentiment data to improve perk and wellness program design.
Audit benefits administration processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and compliance scalability.
Requirements
8+ years of experience leading complex, multi-workstream initiatives involving US health benefits administration, 401(k) management, and employment compliance in high-growth, remote-first environments.
In-depth knowledge of US healthcare infrastructure, ERISA rules, 401(k) fiduciary practices, and multi-state compliance.
Ability to independently evaluate variable factors, select appropriate methods, and make structural recommendations.
Experience partnering with and influencing Legal, Finance, and Accounting stakeholders.
Track record of measuring success through plan utilization, employee stability, and compliance health.
Exceptional judgment, emotional intelligence, and discretion when handling sensitive employee scenarios, including medical and personal leaves.
