Responsibilities
- Guide strategic enterprise customers through cloud data engineering transformations and large-scale data warehousing initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership for building, scaling, and optimizing big-data workloads.
- Architect production-ready pipelines and demonstrate platform value through performance testing, load testing, and optimization.
- Develop expertise in data lake architecture, high-velocity streaming, automated ingestion workflows, and data observability.
- Partner with Solutions Architects on complex pre-sales engagements, proofs of concept, workload sizing, and custom architecture designs.
- Lead workshops, hackathons, and conference presentations to drive adoption and contribute to the technical community.
- Mentor others and complete role-specific training and technical delivery milestones within the first six months.
- Travel up to 30% as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role.
- Hands-on experience with streaming technologies, batch ingestion, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex Spark workloads.
- Experience building or supporting data-driven applications, predictive analytics pipelines, or customer analytics platforms.
- Experience migrating enterprise data warehouse workloads across OLAP and OLTP systems, including advanced query tuning, governance, and MPP debugging.
- Experience with telemetry, high-velocity log ingestion, anomaly detection, and SIEM tools.
- Deep understanding of modern lakehouse architectures, data modeling, and business intelligence integration across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Production-level SQL programming experience and proficiency in at least one of Python, Scala, or Java.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pre-sales or post-sales technical consulting experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Local pay range: $180,000–$247,500 USD.
- Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
