- Operate as a player-coach on a lean design team, partnering with cross-functional teams to build thoughtful product experiences.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a small team of elite designers.
- Elevate AngelList’s capacity for high-quality interaction and visual design, crafting elegant, intuitive experiences across complex financial systems.
- Deeply understand AngelList customers and use research and insights to clarify problems and deliver effective design solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a product designer.
- 2+ years in a formal management role.
- Experience working in complex domains with interconnected brand dynamics.
- Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a high bar for craft and quality.
- Ability to mentor and develop other designers.
- Strong systems-thinking, product vision, and customer-focused problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate on tight-knit cross-functional teams and orient problem-solving toward ambitious outcomes.
