Develop, implement, and monitor scientific planning and evaluation processes for vaccine development programs.
Plan, develop, and implement immediate and long-range goals and objectives to strengthen the research program.

Provide scientific and management support to staff on planning, implementation, priority setting, task management, monitoring, and status updates.
Develop and assist in implementing policies and procedures related to scientific programs.
Perform study design, management, decision-making, workgroup material reviews, and presentations.
Coordinate and document projects from inception to completion; monitor status, funding, results, and provide progress reports.
Collaborate on planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of programs in assigned research areas.
Collect, analyze, and create scientific program information.
Plan, initiate, monitor, and conduct administrative/portfolio analyses to evaluate program effectiveness.
Coordinate workshops and report outcomes.
Attend and participate in multidisciplinary research team meetings, review meetings, and other functions; provide minutes, reports, and analysis.
Plan, organize, and participate in technical meetings and consultations with diverse experts.
Evaluate current scientific programs, identify issues, and develop recommendations for improvement.
Analyze current programs and develop proposals for new initiatives.
Develop, evaluate, and refine solicitations to elicit high-quality research proposals.
Collaborate with management to prepare reports on new and ongoing programs.
Provide analyses of new research proposals (pre- and post-application) regarding scientific strengths, experimental design, technical approaches, and impact.
Coordinate staff for developing, installing, and maintaining scientific programs.
Coordinate activities related to development, approvals, and launching of new research funding concepts.
Analyze policies and procedures; suggest and develop improvements.
Assist in preparing and developing future strategic plans.
Prepare and provide educational and training materials to staff to increase program awareness.
Work with management to develop new initiatives that advance scientific research.
Evaluate and critique research proposals; use scientific expertise to review grants and interact with potential grantees.
Perform scientific and administrative reviews and analyses of applications/proposals from a programmatic viewpoint.
Interact with scientists to overcome technical hurdles or provide additional insights on scientific protocols.
Provide emphasis on GMP manufacturing compliance (21 CFR 210–211) for vaccine development.
Review and critique proposals, advise investigators, monitor project progress, analyze program effectiveness, and support strategic planning, policy development, and new initiatives.
Coordinate meetings, reports, and cross-functional activities; offer technical guidance on vaccine manufacturing and related research.
Requirements
Expertise in vaccine development with emphasis on GMP manufacturing compliance (21 CFR 210–211).
Knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanisms.
Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Field of study in Community and Public Health.
Ability to review and critique proposals, advise investigators, monitor progress, analyze effectiveness, and support strategic planning.
Strong skills in scientific program management, including planning, evaluation, policy development, and coordination.
Experience in study design, project management, portfolio analysis, workshop coordination, and meeting facilitation.
Ability to evaluate programs, develop recommendations, propose new initiatives, and analyze research proposals.
Proficiency in preparing reports, training materials, and educational resources.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, management, and scientists.
