Responsibilities
- Develop and serve platforms for AI solutions and improve Snowflake functionality in the AI domain.
- Find optimal solutions to complex and ambiguous problems.
- Collaborate with research, engineering, and business teams on product development strategy.
- Mentor less experienced engineers, researchers, and product managers.
- Communicate results and complex concepts to leadership.
- Work independently, contribute to a team, and lead when required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience writing production-quality, scalable code using backend languages.
- Professional experience building SDKs and web service APIs, including REST and gRPC.
- Experience with software engineering best practices, including programming, testing, version control, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and agile development.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as AI/ML, computer science, data science, physics, or mathematics.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for open-ended problems, with the ability to formulate problems from abstract information.
- Ability to produce organized solutions independently and collaborate effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree or PhD.
- Hands-on MLOps experience, such as deploying machine learning models.
- Experience with Go, Java, C++, or Python.
