Senior Backend Engineer (Go)
Build and scale Go backend services for agent quoting, configuration, and application submission. The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, distributed systems and API design expertise, and the ability to provide architectural leadership while using AI coding tools effectively.

Responsibilities
- Build and scale Go services powering agent quoting, configuration, and application-submission tools used before checkout.
- Partner closely with application and checkout teams.
- Provide architectural leadership and propose technical direction.
- Resolve partner-specific edge cases as distribution partners and volume scale.
- Write unit and integration tests for shipped code.
- Conduct peer code reviews.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, and ChatGPT in daily engineering work.
- Encourage automation, CI/CD, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Professional experience with Go and ability to own services end to end.
- Experience with distributed systems or microservices.
- Experience designing APIs, including REST, gRPC, OpenAPI, and Protocol Buffers.
- Experience using Docker for local development.
- CI/CD experience as a standard engineering practice.
- Demonstrated fluency using AI tools in real engineering work.
- Ability to contribute to architectural and mentorship needs without a formal title.
