Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategy and roadmap to efficiently scale the billing operations and customer experience behind OpenAI's growing product portfolio.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve the order-to-cash processing for OpenAI's largest and most strategic customers.
  • Build AI powered tooling for key partner teams such as Finance and User Operations to drive better decisions and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to define OpenAI's evolving monetization strategies and the capabilities we need in our core billing infrastructure.
  • Use data to better understand internal and external user needs and guide future product development.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including teams in product, finance, operations and engineering.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management or related industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones.
  • World-class communication and collaboration skills in working with a wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience in billing, finance, and accounting.
  • Experience building solutions for commercial users of varying sizes from small scale to enterprise.
