Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, manage, mentor, and coach a global engineering team building a scalable offensive security platform.
- Own improvements to existing offerings and development of new products.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and product management on cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Own the platform’s technical vision and architecture, ensuring scale, stability, resiliency, and high performance.
- Establish standards for quality, efficiency, security, engineering design, architecture, and development.
- Drive adoption of AI-powered developer tooling, coding best practices, and agile methodologies.
- Develop and own strategies to improve engineering quality and efficiency.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain strong engineering talent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 15 years of software development experience, including 5 years building SaaS cybersecurity products.
- Strong multi-cloud engineering experience.
- Experience establishing engineering standards for AI-assisted software development using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI coding assistants.
- Demonstrated success adopting AI-powered developer tooling and modern engineering practices while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability.
- Experience with Secure SDL practices and building DevOps or DevSecOps teams.
- Experience leading distributed international engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally.
- High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and comfort with change.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and scale engineering teams with a focus on technical excellence.
- Strong proficiency with Ruby on Rails and JavaScript, including React.
- Ability to work autonomously with a high level of responsibility.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Node.js, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $250,000–$275,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
