Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own product work end-to-end across frontend and backend, with full production responsibility.
• Ship production contributions and develop a strong understanding of the architecture, codebase, and product workflows.
• Form technical opinions and identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to design and code reviews.
• Own significant features from technical design through production across frontend and backend.
• Proactively identify and address codebase quality and consistency issues.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and technical pairing.
• Own complex features autonomously, including cross-cutting architectural decisions.
• Improve core platforms and critical business logic.
• Influence technical standards and support difficult technical problems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong command of TypeScript across the full stack, including Node.js backend and React frontend.
• Experience designing and building REST and/or GraphQL APIs with production ownership.
• Ability to understand broad system architecture and make well-reasoned design tradeoffs.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably AWS.
• Experience with modern CI/CD practices.
• Ability to communicate technical complexity clearly to product and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfortable using AI tooling as part of an engineering workflow.
