Senior Software Engineer, Datastores
Build and operate highly available datastore infrastructure and platform tooling supporting Auth0’s large-scale services. The role requires 5–8 years of software development experience, infrastructure automation expertise, cloud experience, and familiarity with databases and reliability engineering.

Responsibilities
- Develop large, distributed, highly available infrastructure.
- Implement platform tools that allow feature teams to deploy and manage datastores for their services.
- Research technologies to accelerate new environment creation.
- Carry cross-team initiatives from end to end, including code reviews, design reviews, operational robustness, and security hygiene.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in or willingness to learn Golang.
- Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
- Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- Experience with data storage systems at scale, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with datastore reliability, standard configurations, latency, throughput, availability, utilization indicators, and performance analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services.
- Ability to deliver work incrementally, gather feedback, and iterate.
- Passion for building highly reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure systems.
- Ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Comfort working on a fully distributed team.
Nice to Have
- Database experience.
- DevOps experience using cloud-agnostic and cloud-native technologies.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary: $136,000–$187,000 CAD for candidates located in Canada.
