Production Planning Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, mentor, coach, and develop the Production Planning team.
• Drive Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) across Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management.
• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS), balancing demand, capacity, labor, and material readiness.
• Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, adjust schedules, and improve throughput and schedule attainment.
• Evaluate manufacturing capacity, labor constraints, and production resources for short- and long-term planning.
• Develop scalable planning processes, reporting, and standard work.
• Track schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory health, throughput, and planning accuracy; drive corrective actions.
• Support new product introductions and transitions into production.
• Use ERP/MRP systems to manage production planning, inventory, work orders, and manufacturing schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience leading production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations teams.
• Experience with Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, and capacity planning in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, prioritize competing needs, and communicate with frontline teams and executive leadership.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence principles.

• Experience in high-growth, advanced manufacturing, or highly configurable products.
• Experience manufacturing electrical systems, modular infrastructure, data center equipment, or complex industrial products.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation range: $155,000-$185,000.
