Build internal developer tools and AI-enabled workflows that improve engineering productivity, adoption, and secure delivery. Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering teams to identify high-leverage AI opportunities across code generation and review, testing, debugging, and internal tooling.
- Own foundational architecture and standards for modeling releases, evaluating internal tools, and deploying them internally, including reliability, evaluations, efficiency, and secure tool-access patterns.
- Build and improve onboarding, documentation, and discovery resources such as skills catalogs, guides, and internal wikis.
- Track developer-tooling trends to shape internal standards and roadmap decisions.
- Contribute to engineering enablement through learning programs, office hours, and change management for new tools.
- Instrument and measure adoption and impact of internal AI tooling to prioritize future development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally focused on developer tooling, platform engineering, or internal-facing developer-experience systems.
- Experience building internal tools that make AI capabilities accessible to engineers, including sound build-versus-buy and standardization-versus-experimentation judgment.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to develop trusted, adopted solutions with engineering teams.
- Strong full-stack TypeScript proficiency and deep familiarity with API design and integration, including RESTful services and MCP.
- Experience with modern engineering technology stacks, AWS, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions or a similar tool.
- Understanding of AI safety and security, particularly code execution and access to internal systems.
- Experience with or strong interest in developer-experience fundamentals, engineering productivity measurement, and treating internal tooling as a product.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
