Senior Software Engineer, Identity Management & Authentication
Builds full-stack identity management and authentication APIs, web interfaces, and user configuration tools. The role requires strong Java and web-development expertise, deep knowledge of authentication protocols and secure session management, and experience with SQL and database systems.

Responsibilities
- Author Java APIs and web UIs for user and customer configuration tools that expose Addepar’s identity platform.
- Migrate authentication experiences to platforms supporting global availability, smoother user experiences, and experience customization.
- Bridge architectural and strategic identity investments with product-driven user-experience improvements.
- Provide expertise on authentication fundamentals, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML, during product design.
Requirements
- Extensive professional software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java or a similar object-oriented language, with demonstrated ability to write high-quality, maintainable code.
- Experience building web user experiences using TypeScript, PostCSS, Svelte, Ember, React, or equivalent technologies.
- Deep understanding of identity fundamentals, secure session management, and modern authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs, and SAML.
- Experience with SQL and database systems, including relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems such as DynamoDB.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explore complex problem spaces objectively from multiple perspectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across engineering and non-engineering teams.
- Self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Legal authorization to work in Poland from the first day of employment; visa sponsorship is not available.
Compensation
- Base salary range for Warsaw: 310,000–372,000 złoty.
- Starting pay is determined by role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
