Responsibilities
- Design, code, debug, and support assigned features for high-volume healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and teammates on design, implementation, performance, and security.
- Analyze application problem areas and propose solutions.
- Plan and execute unit and functional tests.
- Partner with Product to translate healthcare workflows into high-performing software.
- Use AI-assisted tools responsibly for debugging, log analysis, and code generation.
- Contribute to system design and scalable, maintainable architecture.
- Improve observability through logging, metrics, dashboards, and alerting.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, technical discussions, and other development ceremonies.
- Work effectively in a remote-first environment and travel periodically as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience designing, coding, and testing web applications.
- Experience developing full-stack customer-facing software and web services.
- Proficiency with HTML and CSS, including implementing designs accurately.
- Proficiency with Java and Java frameworks; Spring Boot preferred.
- Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks; React preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database design fundamentals.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results with limited oversight.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, judgment, and solution-design skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environments.
- Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools.
