About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own airport relationships across the Northeast region as Lyft's primary point of contact for airport authorities across the region's states and provinces.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with legal, compliance, product, finance, reporting, and marketing teams to deliver airport requirements.
  • Manage administrative and operational work, including processing driver suspensions, fee changes, and reporting issues.
  • Manage the end-to-end launch process for new airports and implementation of new agreements, amendments, and fee changes.
  • Balance reactive airport requests with longer-term strategic projects while working with minimal day-to-day direction.
  • Build collaborative, trusted relationships with airport partners while appropriately pushing back when needed.
  • Maintain accurate internal systems and records used to track, report, and resolve airport requests.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or a similar commercial role.
  • Ability to manage multiple active workstreams with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of materials for senior internal and external audiences.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across strategy, finance, legal, compliance, product, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity about the rideshare industry and willingness to develop expertise in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong relationship-management skills and ability to adapt communication style across different partner relationships.
  • Ability to translate between airport authorities' bureaucratic, relationship-driven environment and a technology company's systems- and process-driven environment.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with comfort operating across strategic negotiations and hands-on administrative work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with drafting commercial documents such as LOIs, MOUs, or term sheets.
  • Business development or deal-making experience.
  • Exposure to equity investment processes, corporate venture capital, or corporate development.
