Own revenue recognition and close activities for a high-growth SaaS business, including contract review, reconciliations, ASC 606 compliance, controls, and NetSuite ARM improvements. The role requires 5–8 years of revenue or public accounting experience and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities
- Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite, including journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, and reporting, in compliance with ASC 606.
- Review closed sales contracts and assess non-standard revenue contracts for appropriate revenue recognition.
- Draft and maintain technical accounting memos supporting judgmental revenue recognition positions.
- Prepare revenue-related system reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with NetSuite ARM design, data integration, and testing.
- Test revenue system enhancements for compliance and data integrity.
- Document processes and procedures in line with control activities.
- Support SOX and internal-control walkthroughs, testing, and documentation for the revenue cycle.
- Partner with internal and external auditors and support ad hoc audit projects.
- Identify process improvements and assist with automation efforts.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of combined revenue accounting and/or public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606.
- Experience in high-growth SaaS companies.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Meticulous organization, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and data sources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with ownership, curiosity, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with NetSuite ARM, Salesforce, Rocketlane, Stripe, and SQL.
- SaaS experience with subscription, usage/consumption, and professional-services revenue recognition.
- Experience with ERP implementations, mergers, and process improvements.
- CPA license.
