Solutions Engineer

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical partner to Account Executives across enterprise deals with large national property management companies.
  • Lead technical discovery with prospects, mapping property management systems, ERPs, and third-party integrations to Bilt's product and API surface.
  • Deliver tailored demos and solution designs that translate Bilt's platform into concrete outcomes for each partner's operating model.
  • Own post-sale implementation end to end, including gathering API credentials and specifications, configuring SFTP and API integrations, and driving partners to launch.
  • Build the Solutions Engineering function from the ground up, including playbooks, technical assets, integration documentation, and a reusable knowledge base.
  • Answer detailed integration questions from partner technical teams.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to advocate for integration work and product changes that unblock enterprise partners.
  • Travel to partner sites to support onboarding, run working sessions, and build relationships with operators and IT teams.
  • Complete RFPs, security reviews, and technical evaluations required to move enterprise deals forward.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Solutions Architecture, ideally in a technical B2B SaaS environment.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with API integrations, SFTP configurations, and tailored technical solutions for complex customer requirements.
  • Track record of owning implementation and onboarding rather than handing off after the sale.
  • Ability to participate in detailed technical conversations with partner engineering and IT teams across unfamiliar third-party systems.
  • Strong commercial instincts and ability to sell, not just support the sale.
  • Ability to build partner confidence through complex technical rollouts.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100%, primarily to partners in and around Dallas.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Based in Dallas, TX.

Nice to Have

  • Deep knowledge of property management systems such as Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, or MRI.
  • Experience in proptech, fintech, or payments.
  • Familiarity with SQL and at least one programming language, such as Python or Java.
  • Experience with data integration platforms and ETL processes.
  • Experience establishing a Solutions Engineering function or process from scratch.

  • Salary range of $150,000-$220,000, plus equity.
