Responsibilities

  • Provide preventative, diagnostic, and low-acuity care in patients’ homes.
  • Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, specimen collection, diabetic foot screenings, diabetic retina exams, ECGs, digital-stethoscope recordings, and related services.
  • Prepare supplies and PPE, navigate daily appointments, and use mobile technology for scheduling and charting.
  • Build welcoming relationships with diverse patients while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Label collected specimens correctly and coordinate delivery to the appropriate laboratory or shipment facility.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining exceptional quality, professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Use problem-solving and flexible thinking in a changing healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Previous venipuncture experience.
  • State-required clinical licensure and/or proof of training; national certification where state licensure is not required.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable personal transportation.
  • Ability to pass national background, DMV, and clinical-license checks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort using mobile devices, charting tools, and HIPAA-secure messaging applications.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to access and navigate patient homes, including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds while walking.
  • Proof of required vaccinations or immunity, including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB testing, Influenza, and TDaP.

Compensation

  • Annual salary: $54,080–$62,400.
