About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build the GTM AI Brain from scratch: agents, copilots, internal applications, automations, and data plumbing.
  • Partner with VP of RevOps to translate revenue workflows (pipeline, forecasting, routing, renewals, expansion, account research, sales prep, CRM hygiene) into shipped software.
  • Own technical architecture end-to-end: stack choices, data model, integrations, eval harness, observability, human-in-the-loop patterns.
  • Integrate with GTM systems: Salesforce, Clay, Gong, HubSpot, Slack, Google Workspace, billing, marketing automation.
  • Build reusable patterns for LLM-powered applications: retrieval, tool use, structured outputs, evaluations, permissions, monitoring, review workflows.
  • Use agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) as force multipliers.
  • Contribute to build-vs-buy decisions, bias toward reducing SaaS sprawl.
  • Define evals before launch and measure business impact: productivity, conversion, forecast accuracy, retention, customer experience.
  • Set engineering standards for AI-native GTM systems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years software engineering experience building production-grade systems; track record of shipping.
  • Zero-to-one builder mindset; started from blank repo, owned end-to-end without delegation.
  • Strong fundamentals: APIs, databases, integrations, authentication, permissions, observability, cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency: Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, major cloud platform (ideally AWS).
  • Hands-on LLM experience: prompt workflows, retrieval, tool calling, structured outputs, evaluations, agent orchestration; shipped real systems.
  • Point of view on agents/AI-native systems: evals, latency, token economics, failure modes.
  • Strong product judgment; converge messy business problems to minimal viable proof.
  • Excellent collaboration with non-engineers (RevOps, sellers, CSMs, operators).
  • Motivation to remain hands-on individual contributor.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with RevOps: CRM architecture, forecasting, routing, pipeline, renewals, expansion, compensation, revenue reporting.
  • Prior work on internal platforms, workflow automation, revenue tooling.
  • Experience embedded with GTM team as engineering counterpart.
