About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a data-oriented frontend UI/UX platform, including 2D/3D graphics & visualizations of live agents in the world.
  • Work closely with the Design team to understand user workflows, developing a vision for the Defense Tooling UI/UX.
  • Work with other teams to integrate your frontend implementation with a state-of-the-art in-house simulator, data-transmission pipeline, autonomous systems, and other defense applications.
  • Build a highly configurable, stable, and intuitive frontend platform for Mission Control / C2 (Command and Control).
  • Develop Frontend UI/UX (including 2D/3D rendering and selection tools) for Defense applications including mission planning/debrief, command and control, and simulation tools.
  • Employ data-oriented design to support user interaction with live and simulated data.
  • Maintain principled architecture with clear roles and responsibilities, including strong test fixtures.

Requirements

  • Experience with full-stack web development.
  • Interest in spatial reasoning and 2D/3D geographic map rendering problems.
  • A strong vision and good taste for intuitive user interfaces.
  • A hunger to learn and grow into a position of ownership and impact on a new product team.
  • U.S. citizenship (legally required) and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Aptitude with spatial reasoning and 2D/3D geographic map rendering (WebGL, Cesium, GIS, etc).
  • Experience with React, Typescript or Angular technologies.
  • Experience with real-time command and control interfaces for robotic systems.
