Backend Engineer, Payments Experiences
Build and maintain new payment methods for Stripe focused on LATAM and North America. Design backend services, integrations, and partner solutions with emphasis on developer experience and scalability.

Responsibilities
- Design and reason about integration experiences with a strong focus on end-user simplicity and developer experience
- Build back-end services and integrations across Stripe’s payments product
- Engage and interact with external partners to determine and build technical solutions
- Engage directly with users to understand their business needs and translate requirements into concrete solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, partnerships, eng platforms, and other engineering teams to deliver these solutions
- Contribute to software platforms used across payments at Stripe
Requirements
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong command of verbal and written English
- Experience working across geographies
- Experience building extensible, leveraged software solutions that scale to different kinds of user needs
- Ability to empathize with users and advocate for exceptional user experiences
Nice-to-Haves
- Previous experience working in payments and on payments technology
- Previous experience using Stripe products
