Senior Staff Engineer, PCB Design
Design production PCB layouts for complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics used in aircraft. The role requires 10+ years of PCB layout experience and expertise in stack-ups, manufacturability, signal and power integrity, and Altium Designer.

Responsibilities
- Create PCB layouts for complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics designs.
- Plan and manage PCB stack-ups with fabrication vendors and manufacturing engineers.
- Interpret schematics, routing rules, and design intent with electrical engineers.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on board form factor integration, connector positioning, and placement constraints.
- Apply signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, impedance control, thermal, and EMI mitigation practices.
- Conduct design reviews and implement feedback for manufacturability, reliability, and compliance.
- Generate and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Gerber and ODB++ files, fabrication and assembly notes, and drawings.
- Ensure designs meet supplier design-for-manufacturing requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in PCB layout for production hardware, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of IPC standards, including IPC-2221, IPC-2222, and IPC-7351.
- Familiarity with PCB materials, manufacturing processes, and stack-up construction.
- Familiarity with controlled-impedance routing, differential pairs, length matching, and high-current power distribution.
- Experience with scripting and automation.
- Experience with Altium Designer.
- Experience using simulation tools to validate layout designs.
