Staff Product Manager

What you get to do

• Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the platform team, which owns the Management Layer and Control Infrastructure of the SaaS data orchestration product, Astro.
• Engage deeply with strategic customers and customer-facing teams to understand use cases and pain points; use this evidence to define a product roadmap in collaboration with the broader product and R&D organization.
• Develop detailed use-cases and product requirements; work closely with the engineering team through design, development, and release processes.
• Support product marketing and sales enablement to craft customer-focused messaging and content.

What you bring to the role

• 8-9 years of experience with SaaS/PaaS product management.
• Technical focus, able to engage as a peer with engineering partners across R&D.
• Bias to action, able to deliver on the product vision set for a group of teams within R&D.
• Experience working with highly technical users who have big, sensible demands and balancing that against a committed roadmap.
• Experience being customer-facing; ability to synthesize information from customers, product data, and industry trends into an actionable, data-driven roadmap.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Confident problem-solving and critical thinking skills; track record of turning data into insights and action.

Bonus points if you have

• Experience delivering products in the data space, with focus on APIs, authentication, billing, and high fidelity/availability systems.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or other modern data tools.
• Interest or passion for open source projects and communities.
