About the role
Responsibilities
Own product direction for the Brex Assistant — the strategy, the roadmap, and the day-to-day calls on what ships.
Define agent capabilities that take real actions for users, and translate messy real-world expense and spend workflows into reliable agent behaviors.
Invent the "how": design the evals, prompting approaches, and feedback loops that make the agent dependable — and re-invent them as the underlying models and tooling shift.
Get hands-on. Prototype, measure, read transcripts, and iterate quickly toward what actually works rather than what looks good in a demo.
Talk to users constantly, and let real usage — not assumptions — drive the next iteration.
Set and defend a high quality bar for an agent operating in a trust-critical, financial context.
Requirements
7-12 years of relevant experience as a product manager.
Track record of owning complex, user-facing products end to end — setting direction and shipping to real users.
Experience building and shipping LLM/agent features to real users with hands-on depth in prompting, eval design, and iterating against measurement.
Thrive in ambiguity; experience owning early-stage products or problem areas with initiative, working closely with engineering and design.
Strong product taste and judgment.
Move fast and go deep — comfortable prototyping, reading data, and getting into the details.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience building conversational, chat-native, or SMS-based products.
Familiarity with fintech, expense management, or spend workflows.
Compensation
Expected salary range: $240,000 - $300,000 base (depends on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity).
Equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
Leads development of AI-powered GTM infrastructure and applications to boost revenue growth, pipeline, and retention at Brex. Requires experience scaling growth systems, owning key metrics, and strong analytical skills in a high-growth tech environment.
