About You

  • Think in terms of governance, not just features: understand identity, access control, audit, and policy as trust infrastructure for enterprises using AI.
  • Raise the bar on reliability as you scale: built strong service ownership, on-call practices, and quality bars in fast-growing organizations.
  • Set technical direction independently: partner with Product and Design but push back on roadmaps based on technical/operational reality.
  • Scaled engineering organizations through structural change: led managers and leads through transitions, redefining ownership and operating models.
  • Deeply customer- and stakeholder-oriented: worked with sales, customer success, and enterprise customers; made tradeoffs between scale and speed.
  • Driven engineering quality and velocity with data: established data-driven measurement for delivery, reliability, quality; balanced reactive and proactive work.
  • Skilled mentor, coach, and communicator: track record developing engineers and leaders; proactive clear communication in writing.
  • Lead AI-native engineering: used AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.); point of view on rethinking code review, on-call, quality for agent-authored code.
  • Champion efficiency and leverage: default to AI-first thinking; build compounding systems.

What You'll Be Accountable For

This organization spans identity and access management, audit and compliance infrastructure, admin and asset management tooling, AI/agent governance, and enterprise customer-facing engineering.

Governance Vision & Strategy

  • Define and drive strategy and roadmap for Enterprise Governance, partnering with Product, Design, and company-wide agent strategy.
  • Own technical point of view on identity, access, audit, and policy; defend in cross-functional and executive settings.
  • Make staffing and investment trade-off calls across initiatives.

AI-Native Governance & Engineering

  • Own technical roadmap for systems governing AI actions: identity/permissions for agents, audit trails, policy controls.
  • Define safe, accountable AI-native engineering practices for teams (code review, on-call, quality bars).
  • Identify and implement AI-powered tooling to accelerate delivery and quality.

Reliability & Trust

  • Accountable for reliability of identity, audit, and admin infrastructure, including Tier-1 services.
  • Build bench strength and resilience across critical systems.
  • Step in during major incidents, coordinating resources and setting expectations.

Customer & Cross-Org Partnership

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and enterprise customers to translate needs into engineering roadmap.
  • Own cross-org technical initiatives on identity and governance.

Team Building & Talent

  • Build on and further develop the engineering organization.
