Responsibilities
- Design and run experiments alongside senior process engineers.
- Read academic papers and technical literature to inform experimental design; whiteboard ideas and iterate quickly.
- Learn and operate semiconductor tools, including deposition, etch, lithography, and metrology systems.
- Develop, transfer, and optimize process recipes across platforms, focusing on consistency, yield, and throughput.
- Analyze process data, troubleshoot recipe or equipment issues, and clearly document findings and results.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering.
- Ability to learn quickly and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Hands-on experience with wafer fabrication tools, including etch, deposition, patterning, and metrology tools such as AFM, SEM, and thin-film measurement systems.
- Recipe development and optimization experience in thin-film deposition, dry etch, or lithography.
- Strong foundation in semiconductor devices and fabrication.
- Hands-on cleanroom experience and a track record of developing nanofabrication recipes from scratch.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with data processing in Python.
- Mechanical or maintenance experience with fabrication tools.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay equivalent to an annualized range of $108,000–$126,000, depending on experience and education; actual earnings vary with hours worked.
