Global Strategy & Expansion
Own global real estate and workplace strategy, staying connected to business direction and anticipating future needs
Lead site selection, lease negotiations, and build-outs for scalable growth
Develop standards for new offices that reflect Vercel brand while allowing local character
Partner with senior leadership and site leaders to align long-term real estate plans with business priorities

Guard Vercel's brand and aesthetic in physical spaces across all offices
Partner with internal Design team to ensure culture is reflected in the physical environment
Manage details from snacks and layout to moments that make employees feel valued

Facilities Operations, Safety & Security
Own day-to-day operations across all locations with consistency
Build and run physical security programs including Executive Protection for senior leaders
Develop health, safety, and compliance programs that are effective without bureaucracy
Manage vendor ecosystem and maintain high standards while building effective relationships
Budgeting & Vendor Management
Own workplace budget and make smart investment tradeoffs
Source and negotiate with global vendors meeting quality, reliability, and values standards
Requirements
8-10 years of experience in Facilities, Workplace Experience, Security and/or Real Estate leadership, including leading teams
Proven success at high-tech companies scaling from first spaces to regional spaces with scrappy, creative, resourceful operations
Ability to build rapport with senior leadership and site leaders on real estate strategy and daily operations
Passion for creating people-centered, inclusive environments through design and experiences
Strong belief in design and brand power for workplace engagement with aesthetic sensibility
Experience establishing and managing physical security programs including Executive Protection
Proven ability to build, develop, and empower teams with ownership and accountability culture
Strong project management and vendor negotiation skills
Experience collaborating with Executive Team, People, IT, Legal, Finance, and other business leaders
Lead optimization and health of Upside's marketplace operations, building monitoring frameworks, managing incidents, and driving continuous improvement with a team of 3 ICs. Requires 7+ years in data/marketplace ops and strong cross-functional leadership.
