About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the new hire onboarding experience end-to-end, coordinating orientation schedules, welcome materials, and handoffs with IT and Facilities.
  • Support People Team initiatives, including performance cycles, engagement surveys, Notable University, and internal company events.
  • Learn to become the systems owner for the HRIS (Rippling) and other People Team systems, including Confirm, Complete, and Sparrow.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions about onboarding and the employee lifecycle.
  • Work with the workplace team to create an engaging work environment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in employee experience, HR operations, event planning, or workplace/office coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and a hands-on approach to coordinating tasks and stakeholder communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and a strong service orientation.
  • Ownership and follow-through on operational logistics.

Nice to Have

  • Experience coordinating new hire onboarding programs.
  • Experience building office culture.
  • Familiarity with HRIS or similar People Team tools and systems.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid role requiring Bay Area-based employees to work from the San Mateo office at least three days per week.
  • Remote employees may need to travel occasionally to headquarters for company-wide events and onsite gatherings.
