About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and mentor a high-performing Content Marketing team: hire, onboard, develop, provide feedback, coach strategic thinking, delegate ownership, set expectations, and establish editorial standards.
  • Define content strategy and roadmap: identify key themes, audience segments, opportunities; create rolling editorial calendar aligned with product launches, market moments, and developer needs.
  • Lead flagship content initiatives such as the State of Agents report; work with subject matter experts to produce authoritative, data-driven thought leadership.
  • Own blog performance and organic growth: drive traffic, engagement, conversion; ideate, execute, and iterate on developer-resonant content.
  • Write and edit high-impact strategic blog posts, thought leadership, and long-form content; maintain voice, quality, and technical accuracy.
  • Expand SEO & AEO investments: collaborate with SEO agency on strategy, identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, implement best practices.
  • Set content quality standards, editorial guidelines, voice standards, and build scalable processes/workflows for high-velocity output.
  • Enable cross-functional content creation: partner with education, engineering, product, and marketing; develop frameworks to empower other teams; translate complex technical ideas.
  • Measure impact: define metrics, track performance, use data to optimize strategy, share insights with leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in content marketing, editorial, product marketing, or related roles at developer-focused or technical product companies.
  • Track record of building and scaling content functions.
  • 1+ years managing or mentoring individual contributors preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills for developer audiences; strong editorial judgment and distinctive point of view.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to align content to business goals and think in content systems.
  • Proven SEO expertise driving organic traffic growth; experience with SEO tools and agencies.
  • Technical acumen to understand and communicate complex concepts (bonus: familiarity with LangChain, LangSmith, AI/ML).
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in content metrics, A/B testing, and proving ROI.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ownership mentality: self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and drives results.
  • Builder/scrappy hands-on approach to shipping content and systematizing processes.
  • Thoughtful point of view on AI's role in content creation vs. human judgment.
