Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead Data Science partner for Mozilla’s Ads business across Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and senior leadership.
- Own complex analytical problems end to end, including framing business questions, selecting approaches, validating results, communicating recommendations, and driving follow-through.
- Develop measurement frameworks for advertising products, including success metrics, experimentation, instrumentation, and reporting.
- Analyze advertising revenue and performance to identify drivers, evaluate opportunities and trade-offs, and inform product and business decisions.
- Translate complex findings, assumptions, and uncertainty into clear recommendations for technical partners and senior executives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied quantitative roles, with ownership of complex, business-critical analytical work.
- Experience with digital advertising or a related monetization business.
- Strong technical foundation in Python and SQL.
- Experience applying statistical, experimental, forecasting, and analytical methods to real-world business problems.
- Ability to independently frame ambiguous problems and drive work from open-ended questions through clear recommendations.
- Excellent analytical judgment, including balancing rigor with pragmatism and communicating uncertainty appropriately.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate complex findings to technical partners and senior executives.
