Senior Staff Engineer - Platform & Partner Experience
Leads technical strategy and development of distributed systems powering Spotify’s partner and platform experiences across devices and integrations. The role requires deep-scale systems expertise, cross-organizational technical leadership, and practical application of AI to software development workflows.

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and development of systems enabling partner and platform experiences across devices and integrations.
- Drive complex technical initiatives spanning multiple studios or an entire mission, especially where coordination costs, architectural sprawl, or competing local optimizations exist.
- Unify fragmented approaches, retire duplicative systems, and establish standards and platforms that help multiple studios move faster while balancing consolidation with local autonomy.
- Define and influence technical strategy across organizational boundaries and support senior engineers in executing it.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design leaders to identify shared opportunities, align technical direction, and reduce duplication.
- Shape how AI transforms the software development lifecycle and pioneer AI-native workflows and capabilities bridging engineering, product, and design.
Requirements
- Deep experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems serving users at scale.
- Strong track record of technical leadership, influencing architecture decisions across teams, and driving organizational change in software development.
- Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous problem spaces and identify technical investments that create leverage across teams and systems.
- Commitment to reliable, high-quality user experiences powered by data and personalization.
- Active interest in applying AI to software development and turning emerging capabilities into practical improvements to team workflows.

Work Arrangement
- Flexible work location anywhere in EMEA where Spotify has a work location, excluding France due to on-call restrictions.
