Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust API services for European customers.
- Lead architecture design and product roadmap creation.
- Research and adopt new technologies and software engineering best practices.
- Analyze complex ecosystems, determine optimal approaches, and drive technical change.
- Mentor, coach, and empower engineers; contribute to code reviews and technical designs.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the application stack.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Scale platform capabilities across clients, regions, and geographies.
- Build resilient, multi-region solutions that improve performance and user experience.
- Ensure architecture meets European and international financial regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Extensive professional software development experience, including backend services.
- Expert knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and the software development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction and architect complex distributed systems.
- Understanding of REST, service-based architecture, and distributed systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirements analysis skills.
- Experience amplifying team impact through mentoring and collaboration.
- Experience building services with Java, SQL, and AWS.
- Demonstrable experience using AI in a professional engineering environment.
