- Lead execution across multiple engineering teams and drive complex, multi-team initiatives from planning through completion.
- Align priorities, manage scope trade-offs, and maintain a consistent quality bar.
- Embed AI tooling into engineering workflows to accelerate development, improve code quality, and remove bottlenecks.
- Partner with product and design on 0-to-1 initiatives, owning the path from inception through launch.
- Define technical vision for the domain, anticipating platform needs, scaling challenges, and integration requirements.
- Develop high-potential individual contributors into future engineering leaders.
- Partner with recruiting to attract and retain strong engineers and maintain a high hiring bar.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years managing or leading software engineering teams at a high-growth technology company.
- Meaningful experience integrating AI tooling structurally into engineering workflows.
- Strong technical judgment, including architectural trade-off evaluation and decision-making under uncertainty.
- Strong business acumen and customer-centric judgment, with the ability to connect engineering decisions to customer outcomes.
- Proven ability to collaborate with product and design to ship 0-to-1 initiatives.
- Demonstrated success developing engineers and preparing them for future leadership roles.
- Ability to make decisions, establish technical direction, ship, and iterate based on feedback.
