Responsibilities
- Own feature development end-to-end, from technical design through delivery.
- Break complex UI and interaction flows into well-scoped, deliverable pieces.
- Write clean, performant, well-tested TypeScript and React Native code.
- Contribute to architectural decisions involving component patterns, state management, navigation, and performance optimization.
- Improve app performance, code quality, accessibility, and developer experience.
- Guide junior engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and design feedback.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to validate technical decisions and align implementation with product goals.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, incident response, root cause analysis, and systemic improvements.
- Document technical decisions, component patterns, and architecture.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, including meaningful experience building React or React Native applications.
- Experience delivering complex features within a software team.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete technical plans.
- Experience with large-scale, high-traffic applications.
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript.
- Strong React Native experience, including component lifecycle, hooks, performance optimization, and native module integration.
- Familiarity with Expo and its ecosystem.
- Experience with state management solutions and complex navigation patterns.
- Unit and component testing experience with Jest; familiarity with Maestro or similar end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Expo/EAS workflows, including app store releases and over-the-air updates.
- Understanding of mobile performance profiling, memory management, and platform differences.
- Ability to work autonomously, communicate effectively in writing, provide and receive technical feedback, and collaborate on design and planning.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, planning, and scoping.

- Typical salary range: $145,000–$155,000 annually.
